Link Whisper Alternative: When Linking Isn't Enough

Link Whisper is the cheaper pick for WordPress internal links. SEOJuice adds metadata, schema and alt text fixes for $59 per site.

Link Whisper is my default pick for WordPress internal linking on its own. Try SEOJuice when links are one item in a larger SEO backlog. For one website billed monthly, Link Whisper Starter costs $29. SEOJuice costs $59 in USD, VAT included. Billed yearly, that is $97 against $599. Both tools can insert links after review or automatically. The extra money buys titles, descriptions, schema gaps and alt text handled with the same per-change controls.

The same job: useful links, with an editor in control

A Link Whisper alternative has to cut total effort while each sentence keeps its meaning and each link lands on a useful page. Every link a tool adds is also a sentence an editor may have to fix.

What one site and five sites cost

Link Whisper prices as checked on October 19, 2026.

ScopeLink WhisperSEOJuice
1 site, monthly $29/month (Starter) $59/month
5 sites, monthly $145/month, calculated from five Starter subscriptions; not a portfolio rate. $295/month
1 site, annual $97/year (Starter) $599/year
5 sites, annual $297/year (Pro, 10 sites; 5 unused) $2,995/year

Link Whisper shows dollar prices; check its currency code and tax at checkout. SEOJuice prices are USD with VAT included, so the price shown is the price paid.

Link Whisper is cheaper at every scope here, and at five sites the annual gap is $2,698. If you only need internal links, that is the bill that matters.

Capacity is a separate question because the units differ (a Link Whisper AI credit is not a link). SEOJuice offers unlimited pages, images and alt text. SEOJuice pricing also lists 20 AI article drafts, which need your approval.

Measure the editing each tool leaves you

Link Whisper is not a suggestions-only plugin. Its keyword rules link existing and newly published content within limits you set, and they skip headings and existing links by default.

Its V4 reports go further. They propose AI-assisted fixes for orphan pages, coverage and link quality, with review or automatic insertion.

A digital marketer rated Link Whisper 5/5 on G2 and wrote that the suggestions "can at times be noisy and irrelevant" (G2 review, October 2023). I read that as an honest cost of any suggestion list: someone has to look at it.

Matthew Woodward reached a similar view on effort: "While the suggestions are good, you do have to click around a bit to add the links" (Search Logistics review, March 2025).

Both tools leave the judgment with you. In SEOJuice I read the surrounding sentence before the relevance score. A high score does not tell you whether the anchor still says what the sentence means.

That clicking is the effort to measure, with the same editorial bar for both tools. Use old articles, new posts and pages that earn money (I'd weight the money pages, because a misleading anchor costs most there). Log each page with setup minutes, review minutes, corrections, retained links and the republish outcome.

On the Summit Roofing demo site, the Changes view holds 80 changes waiting for review, 304 live and 18 closed. Each waiting row names the page and the proposed change, with Approve and Reject.

At one site, SEOJuice costs $30 a month more than Link Whisper. If your editor's time costs $60 an hour, that is 30 minutes a month. If the broader tool does not save you at least that in review and coordination, stay with Link Whisper.

Install, coexist and switch without losing track of edits

On a WordPress site already running Link Whisper, I would test the SEOJuice WordPress plugin first. It writes into post content, the same place Link Whisper's links live, so every link edit sits in one store. Installing the plugin, snippet, CMS connection or Worker needs admin access to that system.

You do not have to uninstall Link Whisper to try SEOJuice. While Link Whisper owns links, switch off internal links and broken-link replacement in SEOJuice. The second one is easy to miss. Broken-link replacement edits link URLs inside the same post content Link Whisper writes to, and it defaults to one-click. Leave it on and two tools can change the same link. This is the part of a switch I would plan most carefully, more than the price or the install.

Then open a sample of posts and confirm the links Link Whisper placed are still the ones you approved. When you want to compare, hand over by change type (internal links first), or run the test on a separate site. Republish one edited post on your route before rollout. Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress or AIOSEO can keep owning meta or schema if you switch off those SEOJuice change types.

Before you switch, back up stored content and list the links you want to keep. Link Whisper's rule deletion can preserve the links or remove them along with the rule, so choose on purpose.

Deleting Link Whisper plugin data leaves inserted links in place. It also removes the URL Changer reference data you need for a later Undo. Uninstalling, deleting links and discarding undo data are three separate operations.

In SEOJuice, any live change can be reverted, so undo what you do not want while you are subscribed. Export your data in the same sitting, because exports work only while the subscription is active.

Run a republish test on one page with either workflow before you roll it out.

Pick Link Whisper for links alone

Choose Link Whisper for linking-focused WordPress work. You get a source, anchor and destination review, keyword-to-URL rules, and a lower price per site. Its links also survive plugin removal. It has a separate Shopify app too, so not being on WordPress does not settle the question.

V4 (September 2026) rebuilt reports and added AI-assisted orphan fixes. The plugin now advertises automatic topical clustering, and Premium suggests links across connected WordPress sites. For a publisher with a small network of blogs, that cross-site feature is worth weighing.

Try SEOJuice when links sit beside other fixes. Titles, descriptions, gap-filling schema, alt text and broken-link replacement share one set of controls. If keyword-to-URL rules are the feature you want most, I'd stay with Link Whisper.

Do not buy SEOJuice only for cheap WordPress internal linking, or in the hope that automation removes editorial work. Other tools are on the comparisons page.

Questions before switching

Is SEOJuice worth the extra cost if I only need internal links?

Usually not. Link Whisper costs less and already offers review and automation. SEOJuice earns its price when you also hand over titles, descriptions, schema or alt text.

Can I review everything before it goes live?

Yes. Set internal links to suggest or one-click deploy. Title and H1 rewrites always start as suggestions. Broken-link replacement defaults to one-click, and you can change that.

How soon will I see a first useful result?

No fixed timeline applies. Your milestone is a reviewed set of good links on your test pages. Use the log above. SEOJuice has unlimited pages. That is a capacity, not a ranking promise.

What happens to my edits if I leave?

Changes SEOJuice already made stay live and keep being served. It stops creating new ones. Revert anything you do not want before you cancel.

Test a defined set before you pay

Start the trial only if you have a broader task in mind, such as alt text, and a defined set of pages to log. Without both, Link Whisper is the cheaper answer.

Start the 7-day free trial. A card is required, then it is $59/month unless you cancel before the trial ends. If you forget, email hello@seojuice.com within 3 days of your first charge for a refund. Trials start monthly, and yearly billing opens after the first charge.
